Attached is RBCC’s financial statement of activity for the year 2023, which gives a reasonably accurate picture of our finances in broad terms. In particular, income, expenditures, and net revenue are fairly accurate.
The actual categorization of expenditures and the finer-grained details, however, are (in some cases) estimates only, for several key reasons, most notably the historic 2023 Barre Flood (during which RBCC had no power, water, heat, phone, or Internet for about three months, and was fully focused in emergency mode on providing services to people in need), as well as a substantial changeover of personnel, resulting in some historical information being lost.
We fully anticipate our 2024 information to be complete and accurate, as we have new people at work using improved and documented processes. In the meanwhile, while this report may not be perfect, in the interest of transparency we want to share what we can, until we can share even better data.
