Notes
* Organizations with religious affiliations that may not feel safe for LGBTQIA+ community members due to their root organizations and the ideologies they espouse. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints has promised to treat everyone with dignity regardless of belief or background. The Southern Baptist Disaster Relief has also given us a promise to protect the dignity of all those they help, regardless of background and religious belief.
** An organization that has actively attempted to proselytize and alienate volunteers based on religious and political beliefs, requiring all volunteers to sign a waiver stating our volunteers stood against reproductive rights and believed that marriage is only between a man and a woman. Unsafe for anyone who doesn’t share their fundamentalist Christian values. They are listed here to provide warning more than to encourage interaction with their organization.
