Director of Content & Development, Interim Treasurer
Heather is a recent transplant to Vermont, hailing originally from the Pacific Northwest. They grew up surrounded by delightful, creative weirdos and carried forward lessons about the importance of joyful play in movements of liberation. They’ve dedicated themselves to building resilient, loving communities. Prior to joining the RBCC’s Board of Directors, they spent a decade as a freelance marketing writer.
When not busy expanding her skillset to serve the needs of the Center, she enjoys games played on tables, Hobbit-paced adventures in the woods, nose-diving into a good book, and painting. She’s a mother to four, three of them queer young adults.
They grew up in an era where their identity as a bisexual (pansexual) person was not recognized by the gay or straight communities and without the labels or ideas to support their non-binary reality. As a result, they are determined to ensure every queer person who interacts with the RBCC feels welcome and supported. They are also committed to lifting up all marginalized communities and ensuring intersectional practices ground everything the RBCC does.
They currently serve as the Director of Content and Development and interim Treasurer. They also fill in as web developer, graphic designer, fundraiser, grant writer, event planner, fundraiser, content creator, and group facilitator.
